Community Event a great success!

A Welfare Advice event organised by the Halo Project and held at the Resource Centre was thoroughly enjoyed by both the local community and other advice organisations from Teesside. The community event which included, face painting, arts and crafts and many other children’s activities provided the perfect mix of fun with practical Welfare Advice.

Representatives from the Stockton Welfare Advice Network and Know Your Money attended the event and women and children from the local community benefited from both the advice they received and the opportunity to get together and enjoy the activities.

The events, which are held every quarter, are based around a different topic each time and staff at the Resource Centre hopes to welcome the Project again in the future.

Angie Kelly, Assistant Facilities Manager at the Resource Centre welcomed the Project ‘We really enjoy holding all types of events and functions. The Ford Hall is the perfect size to hold large groups and with direct access to our gardens and patio area and use of our kitchen facilities it’s a great choice for private hire and community events like those held by the Halo Project.’
